Support in using BaseKit

Can I use BaseKit with an existing domain name?

Yes, you can use any BaseKit site with any domain name that you own.

To change the domain, you will need to login into the control panel provided by your host or registrar. Exact details vary depending on your host or registrar but in most cases if you look for the 'DNS settings' or 'Manage DNS' control panel you should find a place where you set a CNAME record.

Does BaseKit support Google analytics?

Yes. You can add your Google Analytics ID to your BaseKit site and have the analytics collected automatically.

How does BaseKit host my site?

We host your site with the Amazon S3 service. This provides a reliable and secure environment which can scale to cope with any level of demand.

What browsers does the BaseKit editor work in?

The BaseKit editor works with current versions of FireFox, Chrome and Safari. Internet Explorer may work but is not recommended.

Can I export a BaseKit site to my own server?

No. We may add support for this in a future release.

Can I edit CSS in BaseKit?

Yes. CSS can be edited by hand or using the built-in controls.
