How does BaseKit integrate with existing banking services and digital channels?
Banks can embed BaseKit’s white-label platform and products as a configurable service in their banking dashboards, customer portals or mobile apps using our versatile BaseKit API.
Small business customers can therefore access our website builder, e-commerce, or bookings tools through seamless single sign-on (SSO) from their banking environment, without being redirected “off-platform”.
BaseKit products can be bundled with bank account onboarding, cross-sold and independently promoted to existing small business customers, or offered as part of a premium small business digital toolkit subscription.
What are the key benefits of BaseKit for small business customers?
Banks that offer BaseKit’s website builder, e-commerce, and bookings products as non-financial solutions give small businesses the means to rapidly launch and grow their business online starting from within their banking app or website.
This makes it easy for entrepreneurs and business owners to set up a digital presence, start selling products or services, and manage bookings directly from their bank’s ecosystem, saving time and eliminating the need to juggle multiple providers.
By delivering these digital tools, banks move beyond their traditional financial role and become indispensable business partners, empowering small businesses to increase revenue, boost efficiency, and reach new customers more quickly with real, practical value every day.
Can banks customise product packages and branding to fit their own unique needs?
BaseKit’s platform is built for white-label deployment, allowing banks to configure website creation, e-commerce, and appointment booking as stand-alone products or in bundled packages tailored for different small business customer segments.
This flexible integration is driven by our robust API, enabling BaseKit to fit into any core banking platform while banks maintain control over relationships and billing.
The platform onboarding interface can be customised with a partner brand colour and logo, and the partner logo can always appear within the top left of the main menu in all our products ensuring a seamless extension of their digital ecosystem.
What data protection and security measures are in place to safeguard our customers’ information?
BaseKit protects banking small business customers’ information through a multi-layered approach to security and regulatory compliance. The platform is fully compliant with major data protection laws such as UK GDPR and the Data Use and Access Act 2025, offering robust privacy policies, GDPR-ready features, and staff training to ensure ethical data handling.
Sensitive customer data is protected through end-to-end encryption, fault-tolerant infrastructure, regular supplier audits, and localised hosting to meet strict residency requirements—measures designed to provide operational integrity and security for both banks and their customers.
Operationally, BaseKit employs a secure development philosophy, with automated vulnerability scanning, frequent security updates, and regular penetration testing to ensure the platform remains resilient against evolving threats.
Small business users benefit from integrated consent management tools, customisable privacy controls, and ongoing technical assessments by compliance experts. Together, these efforts ensure that all customer and transaction data is handled securely, keeping banking partners and their small business customers protected and compliant with industry-leading standards.

Does your platform AI handle sensitive customer data, and if so, how?
As a B Corp, we have a policy of only introducing AI features where we truly believe they will add value to our customers and we only share the bare minimum of data with the AI platforms we use. Currently we integrate with OpenAI to achieve the following AI powered features in the platform.
AI site generation during onboarding
The only data shared with OpenAI is the 2 pieces of data entered by the customer during onboarding (their brand/company name and a short paragraph describing their business) and the customer’s language. No other data, or PII data, is shared.
Ecommerce product description writer
This feature suggests improved copy for the description of an existing ecommerce product in the customer’s store. The only data shared with OpenAI is the selected length and tone, from set drop down options, the text they want to improve, which defaults to the product’s original copy, and the customer’s language. No other data, or PII data, is shared.
Website copy writer
This feature suggests improved copy for text within the customer’s website. The only data shared with OpenAI is the selected tone of voice, from set drop down options, the copy they want to improve, which defaults to the text they selected on their website, and the customer’s language. No other data, or PII data, is shared.
