Improved UI, image loading, CSS and cookie management
We’ve recently been working hard in the background here at BaseKit on updates to some design and operational features within our products. Check out the latest UI design updates together with great improvements to our CSS, cookie management, and image loading for better site speed and SEO ranking!
Updated Section Menu UI
Within the section menus of BaseKit Site, users can now see two menus; one for appearance (paint palette) and one for layout. Here, users can now change colours and animations within their website, as well as the size of their content sections.

Section width controls
Users now benefit from a new feature which enables them to change the width of their content sections in their website. They can choose from the minimum to the maximum size possible within the space, or from predefined sizing from small, medium to large.

Improved image loading performance
We have implemented a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to improve the performance of image rendering on all published websites on the BaseKit Platform.
The image CDN makes a big impact on loading times for sites with lots of images. Our customers won’t see anything different in the product but these changes will help to make their sites load significantly faster and rank higher in search engines!
CSS reduction and cookie management
We improved website performance through a reduction in the size of our published site stylesheets. Plus end users can now choose third party cookie categories when adding scripts so their cookie consent is more accurate.
