New image shapes, content panel refresh and store layouts
The product team at BaseKit is always working to ensure our range of products continually evolve to be the best it can be for the micro-business owners we serve.
‘Add content’ refresh
To coincide with our recent editor UI updates, the ‘add content’ panel has had a refresh. We’ve restyled and improved the layout, which enables users to see more section previews. From lists to columns to simple text and image, this new, clear view of how users can tailor different content sections lets them quickly visualise and choose the content that works best for their site.
Image shapes
Users can now choose to display their images in a range of different shapes. The feature gives greater variety for more flexible ways to style out their range of products or services with 10 different shapes. Users can simply add an image to the page and select the desired shape from the drop-down menu within the settings.
E-commerce layout feature
As part of ongoing improvements to our e-commerce offering, micro business retailers now have greater choice over the way they showcase the products in their store. From April, users who create a store can choose from three new layouts to feature their products in relation to their filter menu in the appearance section. In the coming months, we aim to develop an even greater variety of layouts for both list and single-product sections.
Coming soon – Section background gradients
Any day now users will have even more control over how they style out their site with the addition of gradients for colour backgrounds.
When viewing the ‘appearance’ panel, a new ‘gradient’ option allows users to add a subtle gradient to the selected section. Users simply choose the direction of the gradient to draw the eye to key content or highlight important information.
