How easy is it to integrate the BaseKit platform with existing SaaS products?

Integrating the BaseKit platform with existing SaaS products is straightforward and highly scalable, thanks to our robust and flexible API.

The platform can be deployed as SaaS hosted by BaseKit or on-premise, allowing partners to tailor features, automate website creation, and connect with existing billing and provisioning systems with minimal development effort.

Most standard integrations take around 6-8 weeks for SaaS, with dedicated onboarding, sandbox testing, thorough documentation, and ongoing support provided throughout the process.

Common use cases include instant website generation, domain mapping, e-commerce store setup, and seamless data flow from partner SaaS products, all without having to become web designers or overhaul infrastructure.

What level of customisation and branding is available?

The BaseKit platform is fully white-label and offers customisation, allowing partners to deliver the platform under their own brand.

Partners can apply branding, domains, and customer support flows, so that small business users interact with the partner’s brand, BaseKit itself remains invisible throughout the customer journey.

Beyond branding, partners have flexible control over product pricing and the products offered, from mix-and-match websites, e-commerce, and booking tools to custom onboarding flows.

The platform editor is also offered in up to 25 languages for localisation and global scalability according to each partner’s needs.

What features and support are available for small business customers?

BaseKit provides small business customers with an easy-to-use website and e-commerce builder and bookings functionality that requires no coding, enabling entrepreneurs to create professional websites and online stores from a mobile or desktop in minutes.

Our key features include AI multi-page site generator, fully customisable templates, real-time editing, AI-powered content assistance, integrated booking and payment systems, mini CRM and connections to over 5,000 apps through Zapier for workflow automation.

Customers benefit from two-tiered support—first-line support is offered by BaseKit partners, after completing our intense support and sales enablement online training sessions. Escalated issues receive dedicated assistance from our second line support team.

We also provide support via our white-label online knowledge base and editorial content.

The BaseKit platform is continually updated with new features and enhancements every two weeks, communicated to partners with helpful assets to share with their customers to maximise product engagement and activation.

This ensures small businesses always have access to up-to-date tools and responsive care, helping them get online and focus on growth with a reliable digital partner.

How does BaseKit ensure security and data privacy for our users?

BaseKit protects banking small business customers’ information through a multi-layered approach to security and regulatory compliance. The platform is fully compliant with major data protection laws such as UK GDPR and the Data Use and Access Act 2025, offering robust privacy policies, GDPR-ready features, and staff training to ensure ethical data handling.

Sensitive customer data is protected through end-to-end encryption, fault-tolerant infrastructure, regular supplier audits, and localised hosting to meet strict residency requirements—measures designed to provide operational integrity and security for both banks and their customers.

Operationally, BaseKit employs a secure development philosophy, with automated vulnerability scanning, frequent security updates, and regular penetration testing to ensure the platform remains resilient against evolving threats.

Business users benefit from integrated consent management tools, customisable privacy controls, and ongoing technical assessments by compliance experts. Together, these efforts ensure that all customer and transaction data is handled securely, keeping SaaS partners and their small business customers protected and compliant with industry-leading standards.

What commercial models and pricing options are available for partners?

As a white-label platform, BaseKit offers partners flexible commercial models with recurring commission, and customisable reseller packages tailored to their specific needs and market.

Pricing is negotiated based on integration level, projected scale, and localisation requirements, with partners typically setting end-customer pricing and benefiting from recurring commission with higher margins than they can typically achieve wih a branded website builder.

Partners can configure BaseKit products in whichever way they choose, and typically bundle our website builder, e-commerce, and bookings solutions with broader small business service offerings for a scalable, modern digital experience.

Does your platform AI handle sensitive customer data, and if so, how?

As a B Corp, we have a policy of only introducing AI features where we truly believe they will add value to our customers and we only share the bare minimum of data with the AI platforms we use. Currently we integrate with OpenAI to achieve the following AI powered features in the platform.

AI site generation during onboarding

The only data shared with OpenAI is the 2 pieces of data entered by the customer during onboarding (their brand/company name and a short paragraph describing their business) and the customer’s language. No other data, or PII data, is shared.

Ecommerce product description writer

This feature suggests improved copy for the description of an existing ecommerce product in the customer’s store. The only data shared with OpenAI is the selected length and tone, from set drop down options, the text they want to improve, which defaults to the product’s original copy, and the customer’s language. No other data, or PII data, is shared.

Website copy writer

This feature suggests improved copy for text within the customer’s website. The only data shared with OpenAI is the selected tone of voice, from set drop down options, the copy they want to improve, which defaults to the text they selected on their website, and the customer’s language. No other data, or PII data, is shared.
