In January we announced a new integration with leading Image Content Delivery Network (CDN) ImageEngine to enhance the website performance and image energy savings on the BaseKit Platform for our partners and their small business customers.
BaseKit is excited to have seen an average image payload saving of 90% across current partner integrations. One of our partners is currently saving 4 tons of carbon a month due to these changes.

The acceleration of the digital economy means for new small businesses, the need for online transactions has gone from ‘one day’ to ‘day one’.
In March we unveiled our Connect vision for the BaseKit Platform, designed to change the game for small business owners by mitigating the complexities and potential business failure for those tirelessly managing many different apps, accounting packages and spreadsheets at once.
BaseKit Connect is at the heart of our 2023 product roadmap to further help our partners activate more BaseKit Store and Bookings customers.

In March this year we introduced the Customers application – a single place to view all customer details and transactions for users of our Store and Bookings on the BaseKit Platform.
This new free feature represents an exciting development at the heart of our BaseKit Connect roadmap in 2023 to connect the many separate steps of transacting online into a simple and repeatable workflow for our partners’ customers.

We unveiled new, simple customisable options to our pre-boarding pages on the BaseKit Platform. Partners can now brand the experience they deliver immediately before their customers build their business online with BaseKit.
Via a simple control panel, the new feature offers the ability to fully customise colours and images on each page.

We integrated with stock image and video provider Pexels. This gave our Partners’ customers new unlimited access to the 3.2 million free stock images and videos with improved search engine and language support for non-english speakers.
We also improved our image search and editing functionality – making it super simple to search for images in one place and crop and rotae them within the editor before placing them on a page.

The stringent road to accreditation quickly highlighted the areas where BaseKit could improve its green credentials, covering every element of our environmental and social practices, not just their carbon footprint.

Partners who’s customers sell services and take bookings online received new functionality enabling them to request marketing consent at the time their customers’ make a booking.
The message is fully customisable, and ensures they can stay GDPR compliant. Plus we made it super easy for business owners to search for customers with marketing consent status in the Customers application.

Our e-commerce application, BaseKit Store, now has even more simplified settings pages to help users manage their store online. Some of these are in preparation for our new and improved store onboarding coming soon!
Plus we introduced the option for store owners to add a field to their checkout page so their customers can add specific information to an order.
We’re right on track to deliver our roadmap this year and have many more exciting features to come as we dive into the second half of 2023 and continue to roll out our activation, connection and value themed features!
